La religión católica, más que ninguna otra, parece tener la necesidad de exhibir sus imágenes e iconos, de sacarlos a la calle con cualquier escusa.
|Catholic religion, more than any other, seems to have the need to exhibit their images and icons, to get them out on the street with any excuse.
Processions, pilgrimages, rogatory and other events show to sunlight religious representations and the faithful take advantage of those opportunities to exhibit themselves in the same way, to show their faith, to make public its joy or sadness accompanying the object of his devotion.
These photographs were taken at the time of public demonstration of faith, when religious icons have taken the street affecting public behavior of his devotees.
I am interested in the assistants, the public and those who surround each event, more than the images or the religious acts themselves, I have focused my work on them.
There is no intention to criticize or praise, finding only an attitude.
